I’m 34 years old and I live in a condo 4 blocks from my parents. I have been here for almost two years and call it my happy hub. A lot of people helped me get here.
"I’m proud of my home. I am very neat. I clean the kitchen counters and sweep the floors."
I make most of my meals. I go to the grocery store once a week. I cook with my meal planning coach, Erin, every Thursday. I have some meals at my condo and sometimes I eat with my parents.
My circle of support includes my mom, dad and sisters, brother in laws and friends. I love having friends and family over for dinner, game nights or movie nights.
Every Friday I meet with my case manager, Stephanie. I also text her or talk on the phone if I need help or have a question. She helps me problem solve and make social plans.
My support worker, Judi, picks me up from Abt after work and takes me where I need to go in the afternoons– the grocery store, Walgreens, or to Total Link to Community for social programs.
I also check in with my mom and dad most days. Dad drives me to work. Sometimes I take an Uber. I keep track of my schedule with my calendar, alarms on my phone and routines that works for me.
