We are parents of adults living with disabilities.
Like you, our loved one wants to live their life in a home of their choice, with people they know, and create a daily schedule based on their interests and strengths. As parents, we provide a great deal of support to make their person-centered plan a reality. We know in order to sustain the lives we have created for our loved ones, they require services that replace our role in the long-term.

Susan is one of the founding parents of TotalLink to Community and currently serves as the Board President. She is actively involved in growing Engage IL, a grass-roots coalition focused on equity and reform in the Illinois Home-Based waiver program. Susan lives in Northbrook, about five minutes from her daughter Amara.

Janice is one of the founding parents of TotalLink to Community, having served as its first Executive Director and continuing to be an active participant on many of its committees. Janice is a clinical psychologist/consultant and mindfulness and meditation practitioner. She is also the founder and CEO of I Just Am, a small art studio based in Northbrook.
A Happy Life is the operating name for Case Management Partners, an LLC created in partnership with Our Place, Our House Communities, and TotalLink to Community.
